Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Jobus ("we") is operated by BytesRaw. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Jobus app or jobus.in, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Phone number: to create your account and sign you in with a one-time code.
- Profile: your name, the work you do or need, timing, expected pay, business name and a short "about" text, as you enter them.
- Location: the place and PIN code you type, and your approximate GPS location only if you allow it, to show jobs and workers near you.
- Job posts, chats, ratings and reports you create in the app.
- Technical data: app version, device type, IP address and sign-in times, to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To show your profile or job posts to the people looking for them, and to deliver your chat messages.
- To keep people safe: detecting money requests, fake jobs and abuse, and acting on reports.
- To improve Jobus with aggregated, anonymous statistics.
What others see
Other members see your name, the work you do or need, your area and your rating. Your phone number is never shown to anyone until you tap "Share my number" in a chat, and then only to that person.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not charge workers any fee.
- We do not show your phone number in lists or search.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me > Delete account). We then remove your phone number and profile details and close your open job posts. Messages you sent stay visible to the people you talked with, under the name "Deleted member". Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in codes and app keys are stored hashed.
Children
Jobus is for people aged 18 and over.
